Cable Neck Extension
Instructions
Preparation
- Sit on bench facing toward Pulley. Place neck in harness cable attachment.
Place forearms on lower thighs for support.
Execution
- Move head away from Pulley by hyperextending neck. Return by bending neck
forward until chin touches upper chest. Repeat.
Muscles
Target: The primary muscle intended for exercise.
- Splenius (Neck (Rear), Neck Extensors)

Synergists: A muscle that assists another muscle to accomplish a
movement.


- Erector Spinae, Cervicis & Capitis Fibers (Lower Back)

- Sternocleidomastoid, Posterior Fibers (Sterno-mastoid, Neck (Front /
Sides), Neck Flexors)

Stabilizers: A muscle that contracts with no significant movement to
maintain a posture or fixate a joint.
- Pectoralis Major, Sterna (Chest, Lower Pecs)

- Pectoralis Major, Clavicular (Chest (Upper), Upper Pecs)

- Pectoralis Minor ( Chest, Shoulder)

- Latissimus Dorsi ( Back (Middle, Outer), Lats)

- Rhomboids (Back (Middle))
