Steamed Rice Flour Pancake with Shrimp

 

Nguyên Liệu

- 200g big sized fresh shrimps
- 50g fat of pig
- 1 bowl of rice flour
- pepper, salt, "nuoc mam", monosodium glutamate, cooking oil and onion
- 20 strips of banana leaves of 17cm x 25cm

Cách Làm

Ạ Make the stuffings as following:
- Boil the shirmps into 2 tablespoons water. Take off the shells and heads and grind the shrimps slightly in a mortar. Place the shirmps into a pan over low heat, mash them with a tablespoon until they become shreds. Put the shreds on a platẹ
- Boil the fat of the pig and cut it into dices, slice the onion. Saute the boiling fat and the onion in hot pan.
Ađ in the srhimp shreds and go on saute
- Season the stuffings with pepper, "nuoc mam", and a little monosodium glutamate to lastẹ

B. Make the dough as following:
- Mix 1 bowl of rice flour with 3 tablespoons of cooking oil. Ađ in some MG
Then dissolve the mixture in 2 1/2 bowls of water in a pan over medium heat
- Stir the dissolution until it becomes slightly thick
- Remove the pan from heat and go on stirring the ingredient for a few minutes

C. Pack up the cake as following:
- Spoon out a teaspoon of the doughing above on a piece of banana leaf. Spread it to be in the thin shape of 4cm x 15cm
- Place the stuffing lengthward in the miđle of the doughing
- Rub over the surface of the dough with your fingers to be sure it is widely spread in the leaf
- Fold the edges of the leaf to pack up

D. Steam up the packed cakes in the steam - boiler over high heat until the dough looks clear. Serve hot with "cha tom" (steamed-grilled shrimp)
